Benchmark to guest lecture on lithium ion batteries at University of Oxford

Benchmark Mineral Intelligence is delighted to be invited to speak at the University of Oxford.

Benchmark’s Managing Director, Simon Moores, will be presenting a guest lecture on The lithium ion supply chain in an energy storage revolution.

The lecture will explore the rapidly evolving lithium ion battery supply chain and its impact on raw materials. One of the major questions it will answer is: does the world have enough lithium to electrify every internal combustion engine (ICE) powered vehicle sold each year?

In 2016, over 92m new ICE vehicles were sold while there are over 1bn cars and commercial vehicles in operation globally.

The lecture will take place on Thursday 11 May at the University of Oxford, UK – the oldest English speaking university and one of the world’s most respected educational institutions.

While the talk is private, Benchmark’s slide deck will be made available to Benchmark Members. To subscribe and access the presentation, please email Ben Ash on [email protected]
